Art transforms my whole being --- I can immerse myself in painting, drawing or printmaking and “forget that the rest of the world exists!”
I graduated from the University of Louisville with a BFA degree. My concentration was in oil painting. In addition to this degree, I have many hours in advanced printmaking.
I have traveled all over the United States, Canada, Mexico, Europe, Asia, the Caribbean islands. I have participated in Study Programs in San Miguel, Mexico; Hong Kong and southern China; Paris, France; Italy; Greece; Turkey; Harbor Island, and Monhegan Island off the coast of ME. I have participated in painting and drawing workshops and classes in the USA with notable local, regional and nationally known artists.
I have exhibited individually, in group shows, juried shows, and in galleries in Kentucky and Indiana. My work is in private, corporate and individual collections in the United States. I was selected via jury to be in the 2002 “Hoosier Waters” show in Indianapolis, IN. A book was published with all the paintings and drawings of the Indiana Waterways Project. My piece was a drawing of Yellowwood Lake.
I am the founder and Group Leader of “The Plein Air Painters of Kentucky.” We have been in operation since 1998.
I own and operate a fine art gallery in Louisville, KY and feature plein air paintings.
